Signature approach

Designing knowledge that works in practice

Design Science Research is a central methodological strength in my work. I design and evaluate methods, frameworks, models, systems, decision-support artefacts, and organisational interventions — with the goal of producing transferable design knowledge as well as practical impact.

Computational Thinking + Work Systems

A signature capability for framing organisational problems, identifying digital opportunities, and redesigning work systems.

Intelligent Decision Support

Studying how organisations design and use AI-enabled systems to improve decision quality, trust, and responsible reliance.

Primary contexts

SMEs

Digitalisation, organisational problem solving, AI adoption, digital maturity and decision support.

Startups

Resource-constrained innovation, AI agents, platform businesses, scaling and digital entrepreneurship.

Organisations

Process redesign, digital capabilities, organisational change and human–AI collaboration.

Higher Education

Academic platforms, postgraduate decision support, supervision systems and digital research ecosystems.

Living research environment

NexScholar

A UTM spin-off digital platform and a real-world environment for meaningful Information Systems research.

NexScholar creates opportunities to investigate digital platform adoption, AI-enabled postgraduate decision support, human–AI academic decision-making, responsible AI, user trust, digital research ecosystems, and long-term value creation.
